Mastering Me Reiki
Reiki which is pronounced (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal source energy’ and is a system of natural healing founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. There are many styles of Reiki and I am trained in the traditional system of Usui Reiki Ryoko and have been practicing this style for over 20 years, although I have received spontaneous attunements and activations from my Reiki Guides to Holy Fire Reiki, Kuruna Reiki and Seichim (Egyptian) Reiki.
While the word Reiki is broadly used to describe a type of holistic treatment that involves having the Reiki practitioner place their hands on your physical body while you are fully clothed. The system of Reiki is so much more than just an hour of therapy. Once Usui realised the healing nature of Reiki, the essence of life force itself, he developed a system by which to teach others how to harness this energy. Therefore, the system of Reiki is actually a way of life and takes you on a very unique and powerful journey of self-discovery, self-healing and self-realisation. If you would like to learn Reiki either for personal use or to treat others, it is taught in three (sometimes four) levels which is explained below.
As with any teaching, over time it changes and when Reiki was first brought to the West, much was added such as working with Angels or Chakras (our energy vortexes attached to our etheric or energy bodies). As a consequence, other types of Reiki have emerged. While I do communicate and work with the angelic realm and can see, feel and read chakras and auras, Reiki is separate from these. Reiki is the absolute stream of energy that comes from universal source, the essence of all that is, the essence that keeps life existing. In China, they call it- chi, in India, they call it- prana, in Japan, they call it- ki and in Western Cultures, some simply call it- energy.
Reiki First Degree – Shoden Level 1
This certified course takes place over two days, and you will receive four Reiki Attunements in total. You will be taught the history of Reiki and the hand placements for self-healing. Reiki Level 1 focuses on the physical body level and after the course you can practice Reiki on self, friends, animals, plants etc although you cannot charge money for your Reiki.

Reiki Second Degree – Okuden Level 2
This certified course takes place over two days, and you will receive two Reiki Attunements in total and be taught the Reiki symbols and how to apply them in everyday life. Reiki Level 2 focuses on the mental/emotional levels and also allows you to treat others for a financial payment.

If you completed Reiki Level 1 with another Reiki Master, you can still complete your Reiki Level 2 training with myself.

Reiki Master Degree – Shinpiden Level 3
This level is usually taught over one day with the emphasis on becoming a Reiki Master Practioner and/or a Reiki Master Teacher for those who want to go on to teach Reiki themselves. All Master Reiki students are required to attend a further 4 days of training during a Reiki Level 1 and Reiki Level 2 Course. Reiki Level 3 focuses on self-mastery.

Reiki Shares offer my students the chance to receive continued teaching, guidance and support on their Reiki journeys while also practicing giving and receiving Reiki.
Reiki shares take place quarterly in my hometown of Barry, South Wales usually on a Sunday 10-12noon. Please contact me to check dates and availability before making payment.
