After losing my darling mother on the 13th of October 2021, the day my debut book Mastering Your Crown - A Guide to Transforming Anxiety, Fear, Loss and Grief in Times of Crisis was officially released, my experiences took me down a new path… I discovered a deep calling and passion of wanting to assist other families in saying goodbye to their loved ones. However, I was faced with a dilemma… to my limited understanding then, only two options were available. Like many, I thought that Funerals were either a traditionally religious affair conducted by a Religious Minister of a specific faith or conducted by a Humanist Celebrant who is atheist and personally for me, I didn’t fit either category. While I do believe in a divine higher power, I am not comfortable with much of the dogma associated with certain religions and while I do agree with the Humanism philosophy that values human nature and innate morality over religious ideology, as an empath, psychic healer and clairvoyant, I cannot agree to their belief that life does not exist after death and that the scientific method is the only way to understand the universe. Thankfully for me, I discovered a third option and perfect fit… that of Civil Celebrant and in July 2022 I became a fully qualified Funeral Civil Celebrant.
Firstly, as a Civil Celebrant who is not affiliated with any specific religious belief, I can create a unique and bespoke service and ceremony to fit your individual needs or that of your loved one. Just as every living person is an individual in their own right, with their own distinct beliefs, values, likes and dislikes, in death… each funeral, I believe should reflect that person's uniqueness.
Funerals & Celebrations of Life
I create, write and deliver beautifully bespoke and unique Funerals, Interments, Memorials and Celebration of Life Ceremonies and I call this line of my work 'My Sacred Ceremony'. I am a fully qualified Civil Funeral Celebrant and have the National Open College Network (NOCN) Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy and am a member of the Association of Independent Civil Celebrants.
If you would like me to conduct a sacred ceremony for you or a loved one, please inform your chosen Funeral Director when you meet with them and pass them my e-mail address; email@example.com. Most funeral officiate fees are included in the total cost of a funeral plan, however if you are arranging a direct cremation, and would like a ceremony held in an alternative venue of your choice, you would pay for my services directly. However, please contact me first to confirm my availability before making payment.
This includes; meeting the family and discussing your families needs and requirements, a full written ceremony, delivery of the service/ceremony on the day.
Client Review April 2022:
"I would like to say a massive thank you to you for your calm manor when first coming to the house to discuss the arrangements you were amazing and showed so much empathy! Leading up to the day you were so patient and professional listening to what we wanted to say and putting into words that made it feel like it was from the heart! On the day we could not have asked for more, you brought memories to real life and made us laugh and cry happy tears with wonderful memories of dad.
We can't recommend you enough and again would like to take this opportunity to say a big, massive thank you for making a sad day into a day of reminiscing over wonderful memories!!
Thank you xxx" Emma - Nursery Assistant, Barry
